Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply to teach through HCH International?

We welcome qualified teachers from the UK and other English-speaking countries. Applicants typically need a UK-recognised teaching qualification (such as QTS or PGCE). Some roles may also require prior classroom experience, especially for leadership positions.

What types of schools do you work with?

We specialise in recruiting for British curriculum schools across Spain and other parts of Europe. Our partner schools follow the UK National Curriculum, and offer an international, English-speaking environment.

Do you charge teachers a recruitment fee?

No. Our recruitment services are completely free for teachers. We are funded by the schools, so you can apply and be supported through the process at no cost to you.

Do I need to speak Spanish to teach in Spain?

Not at all. English is the language of instruction in British schools. While speaking Spanish can enhance your daily life outside school, it is not a requirement for the job.

What support do you provide during the recruitment process?

We guide you through every step—from CV review and interview prep to contract advice and relocation support. Our goal is to make your move abroad as smooth and stress-free as possible.

What are the benefits of teaching in Spain?

Teaching in Spain offers a fantastic work-life balance, a warm climate, rich culture, and the chance to gain international teaching experience while still delivering a British-style education.
